2012 in review

I quite like this aspect of using WordPress, a nice little 2012 activity summary:

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 9,600 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 16 years to get that many views.

Very interesting, indeed. I too have had very focused counselling in the past – divorce, stress at work, sudden diagnosis with MS – I sought exactly that and on the whole got it. I have a sister whom I have perhaps ill-advisedly labeled as addicted to counselling and therapy. Your viewpoint as expressed here is really clear and very eloquent. There is clearly a case for a utopian vision, where communities are served by loose associations of expert counselors or experienced wise persons, for the whole of their lives. Guess us old witches have to find a way to get back in the saddle… 😉
